Bio

My paintings convey a feeling of soul-searching, transformation, and the way in which life, death, and spirituality interact. They evoke a strong emotional response by examining subjects such as mortality, connection, and the invisible energies that influence our lives. The combination of skeletal figures, bright color schemes, and sacred images indicates a kind of dialogue between the physical and the metaphysical worlds. Instead of expressing discomfort about these figures, I wanted to display a sense of peace within the discomfort as they show the remnants of human experience, memory, and the soul's journey beyond the material world. The inclusion of sacred hearts, halos, and glowing energies shows a kind of spiritual transcendence, as though these figures occupy a transitional state between the past and the present, the earthly and the divine.
My work also gives rise to a strong feeling of healing and discovery. The dreamlike compositions, the expressive brushwork, and the surreal way in which light is used produce a sense of movement; the figures and energies shifting, appearing, or disappearing. The investigation into dissociation and reconnection expresses not only personal experiences but also embodies the universal journey involving trauma, resilience, and the quest for meaning. It goes beyond mere visual expression, since it invites viewers into a world in which emotions and energies appear in ways that are both haunting and ethereal, raw at the same time as being transcendent.
